Irma has been a supporter, collaborator, and witness of A Rocha Peru’s development since its foundation in 2004, and shares its core values and commitments. An agronomist by profession, she holds a Masters in Tropical Botany with a focus on Botanical Economics, and has also studied Theology at the Seminario Biblico Alianza del Peru (SEBAP). She has specialised in environmental management and conservation, and has over 20 years’ experience working in the Peruvian public sector. By forming part of A Rocha Peru, Irma hopes to serve God as a steward of His creation, in order to restore the harmony between humans and nature, ensuring wellbeing, and encouraging a responsible relationship with the environment, thereby fostering sustainable development. Irma believes God’s love is present in A Rocha Peru, motivating her to share her gifts, skills, and professional experience to care for the environment.
